Lion King the musical will be pounding and growling Rochester, NY this March when it hits the Auditorium Theatre for a month long run as part of its tour, from March 22 to April 17, 2011. As it now stands, Rochester is the next stop in the musical’s current North American tour slated to hit eight other markets till the summer of next year, apart from the residency shows being staged in Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre and at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

The touring cast of Lion King includes Adam Jacobs as Simba, Syndee Winters as Nala, Nick Cordileone as Timon, Ben Lipitz as Pumbaa, J. Anthony Crane as Scar, Dionne Randolph as Mufasa, Brenda Mhlongo as Rafiki and Tony Freeman as Zazu.
